How do I post a new action?
To post an action you must be a registered member of Zero Point Zero. If you are not already a member, click the “Register” link at the top right of the page to get started. If you are already a Zero Point Zero member, you need to log in to your account before you can post a new action. Once logged in, perform the following steps:

1. Choose “Submit Action” from the navigation menu at the top of the page.
2. In the “Original action url” box enter the website address for the action you are about to post. This is an optional step. Click “Continue”.
3. Enter an Action title
4. Enter appropriate tags. Tags are descriptive words connected with your action that other users can use to search and find your action.
5. Add a description.
6. Decide whether or not to use the summary that has been provided (simply a truncated version of your description) or if you’d like to enter your own.
7. When you’re happy everything is as it should be, choose the category you wish your Action to appear in and click Preview and Submit.
8. Finally, preview your new action and click “Submit action” to add it to the Zero Point Zero website, or ‘Modify’ if you wish to make changes.

Why does my new action appear in the action queue?
All new actions appear in the action queue. Your action will appear on the “Front Page” when it has generated enough interest from participants. You need at least 5 participants to be listed on the Front Page.

How do I add comments to an existing action?
You can add comments to an existing action by first of all logging into your account. Once you’ve done that, perform these simple steps:

1. Locate the action you wish to add your comments to.
2. Choose the “Discuss/Comments” link from the tools at the bottom of the action.
3. Enter your comments in the box provided. Please note, HTML tags and other formatting options are not available when making comments on existing actions.
4. When you’re happy with your comments, simply click “Submit comment”. Your comments will usually appear on the Zero Point Zero website instantly.

How do I add video to an action?
You can add You Tube video and others to any new action you create. Follow the steps above for “How do I post a new action?”. When you get to the description box, do the following to add your video.

1. Open a new browser window and navigate to the You Tube website (http://www.youtube.com).
2. Choose the video you would like to feature in your new action by clicking on it as if you were going to watch it.
3. In the browsers address bar you will notice the youtube.com address followed by a series of characters after an equals sign like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDUsir87wD
4. Copy the series of characters after the equals sign. In our example above it would be FDUsir87wD.
5. Return to the Zero Point Zero website. Place your cursor anywhere in the description box where you’d like your video to appear and type the following:
   
        <youtube> FDUsir87wD</youtube>
   
   
6. Continue to fill out the rest of the action as normal.

When you submit your new action your You Tube video will now be automatically added.

How do I register?
To register your free Zero Point Zero account so you can add new actions and participate in existing ones, simply choose the “Register” link from the top right of the page and fill out the form.

How do I login?
Once you have successfully signed up for an account you can login by choosing the “Login” link from the top right of the page and providing your login credentials.

I can’t remember my password. What should I do?
If you forget your password, don’t worry. Visit the login page and in the “Forgotten password” section of the page, simply provide your username and a password will be sent to your registered e-mail address. If you no longer have the e-mail address you registered with, please contact us so we may assist you.

What are HTML tags and how do I use them?
HTML tags can be used to format your text whenever you add a new action. Basic formatting can be achieved by using a few simple HTML tags. For example, if you want things to appear bold you simply ‘wrap’ the text you want to format in bold tags like this:

<b>Here is some bold text</b> but this text is just normal.

Only the text between <b> and </b> will appear bold. Its important to always include a start and end tag too. Another example is italicised text, like in this example:

Here is some <i>italicised</i> text.

HTML tags available to you are listed at the top of the description box.

What do the actions figures mean in the blue boxes beside each post?
Each action is just that. A call to action, to do something, that will hopefully make a difference. When an action has been posted, members of the Zero Point Zero website can then participate. When a member decides to participate they can hit the “Do it” button to show their support. The figure in the action box is how many people of “Did  it”!

The more popular the action, the greater the number of supporters, and the higher it climbs up the front page of the Zero Point Zero website.

How do I change my account e-mail address and modify other information?
Your account details are collectivly known as your online profile. Your profile includes your name, password and e-mail address. If you need to modify your profile for whatever reason, you can simply go to the login page log in as normal and then choose “Modify Profile”.
